Hi everyone I'm back from both of my trips, the wedding was fine (nothing like family to ruin a trip right :)) and I didn't make the cut for the auditions, (it happens). But moving on, I have managed to get my Deathly Hallow's midnight release tickets Yay! I can't wait! I of course will be going in costume.. I excited and a little sad, this will mark the end of an era for my friends and I. So much has happend because of Harry, heck Knitting happed because of Harry, I learned how to knit so that I could have a house scarf.
My Swap project is going well, I've got the yarn and the pattern for what I'm making, and I started but realized i need to switch needles so I'm starting over again but I think it'll look great when I'm done. I've also gotton so niffty extras to put in her package. I hope she'll like them.
I think that's all from me right now, I'm helping my mom get our Halloween decorations out we've decided to do Phantom of the Opera as our theme this year and so far it's all looking great, I'll have picture this year to prove it :0
Ta for now

blogging
Hi everyone sorry for silence I've been preparing for two trips coming up, I leave tomorrow. First I'm flying up the coast for a wedding and then I'm auditioning for a professional acting job. Hopefully once these two events have passed I'll be more chatty and I'll have a bit more to post on my kit progress. See you all soon!

sliding in on the last day (again)
Sorry about that, my job is such that I never know how busy I'm going to be on a week by week bases (or really a day by day). I've been busy stalking my spoilee and trying to think of something brillant to do for her kit, I 've got a few ideas cooking but nothing that has me jumping up and down saying that's it! It'll come when I stop thinking about it so hard.
I'm working on my first sweater, and it's coming out really nicely:
Now then I'm off to work, I hate working on the weekends, still it's a paycheck and that keeps me in yarn :)

Getting to Know you
First, take the time to update your profile and/or blog setting forth your favorites, i.e., colors, flavors, scents, season, holiday, fiber, pattern, designer, needles, etc. The more you tell about yourself, the easier it is for your spoiler to stalk you! Include something about yourself that no one knows!
Sorry this took me so long to get up. I always find these things difficult to do, especially when I'm newly
As for my favorite things
Color; Purple. I also love cool tones blues, greens, brown, black, and even some red, yellow and orange have never been favorites.
Flavors: Chocolate for sure, tea, hmm it's easier I think to say what I don't like Licorice and fake cinnamon (like red hots, real cinnamon I love!) coconut...
Scents: I love the smells of Fall, woodsmoke, baking, the smell of stew ... well all smells of cooking and baking really) When I buy candles I tend to get scents like fresh linen and apple, or gardenia . I don't like overly perfume scents though.
My Favorite time of Year is the fall, i love the leaves and crispness of the air, I like going up to the mountains to get fresh apples and veg from the farms. and I love Halloween, It's my favorite holiday. The candy the costumes the atmosphere. mmm makes me wish it where her right now!
Fiber: hmm I don't know I'm only really starting to get to know fibers, I really like wool, its so warm. I've tied Alpaca and Lama both of which I also like. I've loved everything from knitpicks that I've bought The only thing I really don't want more of is synthetic I have way too much of it!
As for Patterns and designers I don't have a favorite at all Although I will say right now I'd be more in the mood for quick projects ( hats, cowls, etc.) then long one, since I've got a few long projects already started.
Probably the best way to find out about me is through my live journal which has my more day to day life on it, I do keep some posts friends only though so you won't be able to see everything. I may try and find one of those getting to know you list of questions it's easier to answer direct questions sometimes then to anticipate what your questions might be :)
Then, find the following people among the wizarding families. (Each person can only be listed once.)
- Someone with the same craft as you (either those listed above or another one).misslucy wizard incognito hat
- Someone who was born in the same month as you. Knyquol April
- Someone from a different country.Selana
- A new HSKS Family member. ynkchck2

PictureTime!
Hello out there in Blog land, while I'm waiting to find out who I'm spoilling I thought I'd share pictures from last weeks conventions. I love making costumes and wearing them, I wish I had some better pictures of these but for now these will do:
This is my King Baldwin IV costume from the film Kingdom of Heaven. My friend took this picture while we where waiting for the elevator to arrive. I wish she had told me the fabric at the front and poofed out. Oh well. My next project will be an over robe for this, well next after I make a new Snape costume for the last two films :)
For the parade I wore my Sharaz Jek costume to march with the Doctor Who group. Don't worry if you a fan of Doctor Who and you haven't heard of this character. He was in only one story arc so unless you've seen the fifth Doctor's last episodes you would not have seen him. I fell in love with the character after seening the story and made the costume last year. Unfortunantly the costume did not surrive this years parade, there had been a few rips in the body suit before the parade started but after the photo shoot I threw the suit away. :( sadness. I'll likely try and find something better to replace it. I've kept the mask, belt, and neck piece though.
I'm the second one on the right all in black with the mask on .
After the parade, which is two miles down Peachtree street in Atlanta Ga, temperature 89 ( we where glad it had cooled off... no I'm not kidding that is cool in a Ga summer) I changed into my lighter costume for the rest of the day: Tintin. likely you've never heard of him if you are from the states but he is a well known comic in Europe. This picture was taken while walking through the hotel I saw someone dressed as the Stig from another of my favorite TV shows Top Gear. I threw my camera at my friend and asked him if I could get a picture. I was acting like such a fan girl, good thing it wasn't the real one :) (and please don't think that is my hair it's a wig!)
Last but not least my favorite
and longest running costume the Phantom of the Opera. My friend took these for me as refrence shots for my costuming blog. I'm hoping I'll find some from the day I wore it during the con because I went whole hog on the make-up. This costume gets the best reaction, ratehr then people wanting a picture of me they want pictures with me . It's my favorite now and forever, you have no idea how much fun it is to prowl around in a long cape.
And there you go that was my labor day weekend
:)

KIT Arrival
Isn't the lining pretty? And you can see more goodies inside! They where a beautiful handmade bracelet and stitch markers in Slytherin colors (best house ever!)
Nest to him are some of my favorite treats PG tips tea, which I love love love and Jelly Babies (which are the Doctor's favorite candy) I have to admit now that these got opened and gobbled straight away. I made myself a cup of tea grabbed the jelly babies and the adipose and enjoyed a bit of quiet time.
She included this awesome awesome ( did I mention awesome) yarn. See the label ? How cool is that? :)
And that's not all I almost forgot the really cute dragon fly beads that match the bag. So Thank you thank you thank you Andromeda! This Kit was so wonderful and very much worth the wait! I love everything you sent I couldn't ask for a better kit! Thank you SO much!
