Hello all last post of the swap, I'm starting to get a little worried about my owl, the MoM tracking hasn't updated  itself at all  it still just tells me the package was  brought in a week ago and nothing else. I've had a great time with this swap, I wish I hadn't been so busy with real life during most of it though.  I can't wait for summer camp! But before Camp I'm going to San Francisco  this Monday. I've never been to the west coast before it should be lots of fun, My mom is going on a business trip and I'm tagging along so I'll mostly be all by my lonesome, but that means plenty of time to hit the yarn shops :)

See everyone at Camp!

My Kit came today

An Owl came today! I was heading out to get lunch for myself, I’ve been working on my kit all day, and there at the door was the wee owl and a huge package. So I brought him in gave him a drink and off he flew, he sure was fast I wasn't expecting him until Thursday! So then I decided that I would go and get my lunch and come back to enjoy opening the package.

It was so worth the short wait. What a beautiful package! I wish now I had done video of me opening it so you could hear me squeeing. As you can see I had help:

The first thing I unwraped was the little owl. He is so cute and sitting on my computer now ready to take any quick note I need to send. I think the next thing I opened was the stitch markers, those are too awesome for words What a perfect thing to send a Snape fan, his memories.

Love them, love them, love them! Did I mention I love them? Next came the potions bottles.
Those are so cool! I don’t how you crocheters do it, it’s really magic! The candy was spot on. I LOVE cadbury cream eggs, they are one of my absolute favorites. And lint chocolate, j’adore! I’m always getting it for other people but I rarely treat myself to it, so it was wonderful to have some given to me!

The yarn  Gryphon picked out for me is soooooooooo beautiful! I love the colors, they really did take my breath away! I’ll be knitting with it next for sure! I haven’t seen this Snape pattern before, I’m going to be casting on as soon as my owl is out the door with my kit to Fuddles.

Gryphon sent a beautiful mask as well because Snape was a death eater and that job comes compleate with a mask:).I’m going to be putting my mask collection up again very soon, I’ve just rearranged my room and now have the space to put them all up on.

The little sock was made of awesome and I love the key chain! (Thank you also to Ambyr who knit the wee sock.) I’ve seen everyone else with them and have thought of getting one for myself but never have. The wash cloth is fantastic, I love the deathly hallows symbol, I remember just before the book came out researching all possible meanings behind the symbols, I actually got pretty close, believe it or not, but that’s another story.

Thank you Gryphon for such a awesome kit!

 Hello all,

The last few days have been mad for me, I had the end of the school year ( I  was a parapro) and my other job, I was out the house so often I think my cats forgot who I was.

And I went to a small Doctor Who convention  over the weekend which was really enjoyable, I had one funny moment when I saw another knitter and we got to talking about socks, she liked toe up on circs I like cuff down on dpns etc, but any way we both,  at the same time,  lifted our trouser legs to show off our socks and the muggles in the room waiting for the panel to begin weren't sure what to think.

I also made an unexpected friend at the convention,  he  was a guest/speaker and the convention and someone whom I admire. It  has put a smile on my face everyday since to know  there is such a kindred spirit out there.

I have everything ready for my kit , it's all ready to go except for the darn handmade item, that is the easy part for me normaly , but for some reason I just couldn't find  anything that I really loved that fit in with this kit, I'd start something and then rip it out and before I knew it I'm running out of time.  After I type this I'm going back to my needles  to hopefully get closer to finishing it tonight.

Anyway that's the news from me, best of luck everyone on the Quidditch match, I wish I could play with you but I'll be stuck at work closing the store.

sorry guys

Sigh I'm just not going to make it tonight, I've just gotten past the point I was at when I ripped it (my poor fingers are numb).

Sorry team,   I'll write more about what happened  tomorrow, I will be able to make the early send period , so at least I'll get us some points then.

I need to got to bed now  I can hardly type I'm so sleepy.

knitting like a mad women

So I was well along with my  handmade project for my kit when I realized I  would like the look of it better if i  used two strands of yarn rather then the one... so I ripped it, today,  I am going to be trying my darnedest to get it finished before the end of the night  and get my house some extra points (because my house is awesome  and should have all the points I can get them) So wish me luck I've got my Chinese take-away  yummy popcorn and a whole night of Britcom's on PBS tonight, I can do it!

I've just gotten home from work and  sitting on my desk hooting at me was a small owl reminding me that I was running out of time to blog.  I don't have too much to write about really,    This  next week is the last full week of school then there are three days and it's over. I've really enjoyed getting to work full time in a classroom and I'll really miss the students and having a rewarding job.  This week my stepfather will be out of town so my mother and I are planning of having "girls nights" with foods we like and lots of girly movies, One of the nights two of our knitting friends are coming over and we are having a pot luck supper. They always ask about the swaps I do and what the people are like ( and i tell them how awesome you guys are.)  After that my parents are headed out of town and I'm cat sitting for the week for them and going to a very small doctor Who convention.  So lots to look forward to  really. I'm hoping I will mange to have all of my kit together and ready to send out by the 22 for the extra points, I've got a ways to go yet, but I think I'll make it  But I guess that's it from me, i'm going to tryand clean up a bit before I head to bed so that way i can enjoy my day off tomorrow and hopefully work a little on my swallowtail shawl. Night folks!
