Transfiguration homework- Hargid's Rock cake

Now some of you may  believe that what follows is potions and not transfiguration but  as Prof Snape will tell you it takes much longer then five minutes to create a potion, but if you know the proper spells you can  change uncooked ingredients into cooked goodies. Now I admit this would taste better if you did the longer potions version of this but sometimes, like Hargid you don't have the time or energy to fire up the old cauldron and spend two hours baking a cake. This is just as good for a quick snack when you can get to the kitchens to ask the house elves for a treat!
The spell is micro-onde! ( mee-crow-owned!).

 My creativity markers

The items to be transfigured
  • 2 tablespoons self raising flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 egg ( white only )
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Icing (Ready made)
  • Rock (Chocolate egg)
  • 1 large coffee mug

micro-onde!

And the end result is a A in transfiguration

For muggles:
If you want to make this your self using a large coffee cup add the dry items (minus the chocolate egg) first then then wet. Mix together then add the  chocolate egg to the center. Place in the microwave for 3 minutes  on high. and you'll have a yummy quick cake! I didn't have the proper kind of flour for this  so it turned out smaller and fell a bit but it still tasted fine. Recipe  for this came from Blue Peter.

Our first homework assignment is to post about our three characters and why we chose them.
My three are Severus Snape(of course), Albus Dumbledore, and Arthur Weasley.

Severus Snape is my favorite character, and has been ever since he walked onto the page (pg 136 :)).I knew he was going to be a favorite, and a good guy.I loved how passionate he was about his subject and his biting humor. It's hard to describe why I like Snape so much, I think it is because he is such a strong character, he made horrible mistakes and paid the price for them, but it is the fact that he tried to make things better that make him so different, he never gave up. His only wish was for someone to understand him and the  only two people where ever willing to try Dumbledore and Lily and later Harry. Snape, Harry, and Voldemort where in many ways the same, they where given the same choices in life but how they acted upon the choices where what made them different. (And I need to stop now or I'm going to write an essay :) I had to put him down as someone to make a kit for the items for him could be so much fun!

Dumbledore is simply an awesome character; his willingness to see the good in everyone and give them a chance to prove themselves is just wonderful. Again I love his sense of humor and his appreciation of people and his love of knit items.I thought he would be so much fun to make a kit for between his love of muggle candy, socks and humor the ideas for him could be very fun.

Arthur is so different from the other male characters he is the everyman,he’s not the wisest, the best looking or the most successful and yet he is the happiest. He chose the love of family and friends and really the love of life over fame and glory. But he also stood fast to what he believed in; he never tried to be anything other that what he was. I love his fascination with smuggles, that he wants to learn and understand other cultures ;and his value of life. In many ways he is wisest character in the books.I also thought a kit for him would quite fun to make!

I've been spoiled

Rowena( Ronnica) of the Applebee Arrows sent me an awesome kit! Her poor owl arrived during a terrific rain storm  and had to bee given lots of owl treats before flying on his way again:

She sent me two patterns one for a cowl and one for Bella's mittens

and lovely yarn for the patterns in my favorite colors

Some very classy stitch markers

a  really nice yarn bag that I am already using (and having to keep my mother from stealing!)

She also made me a lovely St. Marcus Day scarf  that I've been wearing since I pulled it out of the owls hot little talons ( I really can't say how much I squeed over the scarf! It is very awesome)

And last but not least  she sent me some masks from her own collection

To add to my collection (which I haven't put up in this house yet, but I might just have to now that I have these new addtions)

Thank you so much for the lovely kit Ronnica, I really enjoyed it! And thank your owl for making the long trip!
